I’ve wanted to create a D&D podcast for years, but it was always something I’d get around to “one day.” Shows like Dungeons and Daddies and NADDPOD reminded me what I love about the game: getting lost in a story, laughing at ridiculous decisions, and making memories with friends around a table.
In 2026, while switching careers from the medical field into technology, I finally decided to give it a shot. With the support of my wife and friends, TheRadDungeon started taking shape. The shop gives me a place to share the things I make, but the podcast is where I get to bring my imagination to the table.
I want listening to feel like you’re sitting there with us. Music and sound effects help bring the worlds to life, but the heart of it is our friends, their questionable choices, and discovering where the story goes together.
There’s more waiting beyond this first adventure, too. I’ve spent over a year building Astraros, the fantasy world planned for Season 2. I’m excited to share it eventually, but right now, I’m focused on making our first season something you’ll want to come back to.
Two rolls. Endless possibilities. Three unfortunate heroes with no idea what's coming. Oh, and a Dungeon Master already questioning his life choices.
The Roll of Fate was designed to create a unique experience for everyone: the players, the audience, and me as the DM. The first die determines the world's theme, while the second decides its story trope or challenge. One adventure might involve saving a medieval village, while the next has our heroes battling evil space sharks across the galaxy. The twist? You get a sneak peek at what's coming, but the players are completely in the dark.
Meanwhile, I'm left scrambling to turn two random rolls into an actual adventure with barely any preparation. No pressure, right?
But here's the catch. Despite the ever-changing worlds, there's an intricate, overarching story connecting everything. Small details, strange encounters, and unexpected choices could all be pieces of something bigger. The worlds may be random, but the story connecting them is anything but.
And if our heroes fail? Well, let's just say some consequences don't stay behind when they leave a world.
I created the Roll of Fate to challenge myself as a storyteller, keep the players guessing, and give you a chance to uncover the bigger picture before they do.
So grab your headphones, witness the rolls, and see where fate takes us. The dice decide the adventure, but our heroes decide how the story unfolds.
We are just making sure people know that this podcast is played by 4 adults, therefore we may be a little....... rowdy......
That is the million dollar question, I have absolutely no fucking idea and thank ADHD.
Being that we are a new startup podcast we aim to contend with the bigger D&D Podcasts. We make do with the budget, me the DM has. Hopefully if were successful I want to better our equipment.
